Content Creation & Import Options
Last updated: August 21, 2026
Loorex.com provides several ways to get content into an assessment or course. The fastest is to describe what you need to an AI assistant and let it build a course, assessment, or learning path from your own materials — in minutes. Beyond that, several file-based import tools cover PDF, XPS, TXT, web pages, and more.
Try this first: build it with AI, in minutes
Give an AI assistant your own materials — lecture notes, a textbook chapter, a training manual, past exam papers — and ask it to prepare a course, an assessment, or a full learning path shaped around your specific needs and use case.
For example: "Turn these lecture notes into a 10-page course followed by a 20-question graded exam" or "Build a certification practice path from these three past papers." No file conversion, no manual question entry — just describe what you want.
1. AI Assistant (MCP)
Connect an AI assistant to your account and describe what you need in plain language — it builds the content for you directly in Loorex.com, often in just a few minutes.
This goes well beyond a straight file import: hand your AI assistant your own materials — lecture notes, a textbook chapter, a training manual, past exam papers, even a rough outline — and ask it to prepare a course, an assessment, or a full learning path shaped around your specific goal, audience, and use case, rather than a plain one-to-one conversion of the file.
Key features include:
- Works from your own materials — notes, manuals, past papers, outlines, or just a plain description of what you want
- Builds assessments (questions, grades, case studies) and courses (learning pages) alike, and can chain them into a full learning path
- Minutes, not hours — skip the manual editor for a first draft, then fine-tune anything the AI produces
- Access is scoped and revocable — you approve exactly what the AI can do, and can withdraw access at any time
See how to connect an AI assistant and review the full permission model on the MCP overview page.
2. Import Wizard
The Import Wizard enables file-based imports from several widely used document formats, including PDF, XPS, and TXT.
If your source material is stored in another format, you can typically convert it by using your operating system's Print to PDF feature and then import the generated file.
Key features include:
- Support for PDF, XPS, and TXT files
- Automatic detection and removal of duplicate questions
- Guided step-by-step import process
A video guide explaining how to use the Import Wizard is available here.
3. Chrome / Firefox Browser Extension
The Content Migration Manager browser extension allows you to migrate assessment content directly from various websites.
Key features include:
- Import questions directly from supported web pages
- Automatic detection and removal of duplicate questions
- Streamlined migration from existing online test platforms
More information about using the browser extension is available here.
4. Clipboard Import
The Clipboard Import feature allows you to quickly create a question and its answer options from text copied to your clipboard. This functionality is available directly in the Assessment Editor on the question edit page, allowing you to rapidly create questions without leaving the editor.
To use this feature, simply paste the clipboard content (CTRL+V) on the question edit page in the Assessment Editor.
The clipboard content should consist of multiple lines:
- The first line is used as the question text (if the question field is not already populated).
- All subsequent lines are automatically created as answer options.
Content can be copied from structured documents, including text documents, spreadsheets, and other applications that support multi-line text copying.
This method provides a fast way to generate questions from structured content copied from documents, spreadsheets, websites, or other sources.
5. Public API
The Loorex.com Public API provides an interface for programmatically creating and modifying assessments and courses. This option is intended for automated integrations, system migrations, or custom tooling — if you'd rather describe what you want in plain language than write code, see AI Assistant (MCP) above.
Using the API, developers can integrate external systems with the Loorex.com platform to manage assessments and related content through automated workflows.
API documentation is available here.
6. Upload a File
If you find it difficult to use the available import options, you can simply upload a file containing structured assessment information. Our team will review and process the file and then create the assessment for you.
This option is useful when migrating assessments from complex formats or when you prefer assistance with preparing the content for import.
Combining These Methods
All of these methods can be used together — ask an AI assistant to draft a first pass in minutes, then fine-tune it with the Assessment Editor, top it up with a wizard import, or add a few questions by pasting from your clipboard. This lets you build assessments and courses by combining content from multiple sources, making the process of creating or migrating content significantly faster and more efficient.
